Dancing Dude Gemini Pt 2100 Decks

Hi all ... I'm using Gemini PT 2100 decks
Are they okay to mix on ?
Will Technics SL1200 be easier to mix
on ? I'm using a Gemini KL 10 mixer with
kill switches ,Is it any good ?

Cheers Ashal

Hey there, well my friend has the PT-2100, and I think for the money there wicked, if I wasn't getting techs I would be getting those, there really good, but for me, techs are the only way , so be happy with what you got, if you can mix on anything else but a tech, you can mix on a tech, dunno about the mixer though, but the decks are A O K.

I used to have a set of 2100s. They are great. I never had any problem with them. When I did upgrade to the Technics I noticed very minor differences between the two. The Gemini PT series has nice torque and a very accurate pitch control. I am a huge fan of them for the price.

As for your mixer, I have never used it so I can't really comment on it, but I'd say that you are in pretty good shape mixing wise.

i learned on the pt-2100III and they were just fine to learn on. i was able to move to tech 1200s no problem. the only thing that i had to get used to when i made the switch was the pitch on the tech 1200 is much firmer then the pt-2100's. other then that the torque and the tone arm feel pretty similar.

I would be the friend that ProdigyChild is referring to.. And I do really like my decks.. they hold pitch fine, and have awesome torque, and I am able to learn excellent on them.. However, After seeing Prodigychilds new Technics turntable.. I kinda want to upgrade... but that is just me...

Congratulations on your new purchase.. Enjoy.

People HELP, I need to convince DJ Lazy that he doesn't need to upgrade to Techs right now, hes got new PT-2100 and they work fine, he shouldn't blow his money and get other decks now, they will be great, if he had my old decks XL500II then I would kick him in the ass to buy Techs, but the PTs are fine, people back me up.

Indeed.. You don't need to buy Techs just because 'everyone' else has two or three.. Gemini is just fine for home spinning..

I have em too.. (PT2400) I love em!
