If things go according to plan, I’ll be in DC area new years eve and I could use some help regarding where & what club/event to go in DC or NY new years eve. Any ideas?

Sasha is playing NYE @ AvalonNYC
Sander is playing NYE @ ARC

I believe the Sasha event is on ticketweb. It's $50 advanced which is VERY reasonable for a NYC NYE event.

Victor Calderone will be @ Crobar new year's

NYC sucks on New Years...I hate it immensely.

The people at the clubs suck ass and are like ppl who have never seen a free drink all year, and act accordingly, (and I dont mean anyone here as I have never met any NYTA's...or otherwise),
you can never get a cab either going to club or going home,

And chances are if you get a place that offers an open bar, you can never get more than one or two since it is so packed, and small like a temporary table for the bar or some shit.

OK I am generalizing of course, but last NYE I went out (in beginning of 2002) was Timo Maas and Crystal Method, at some upscale office space (Any NY"ers remember where this was? I draw a blank..) anyway I remember CM sucked, Timo sucked (a little, I was too high by then, but that's what my friends said...they're music snobs tho), and I wished I was still in Europe (had just gotten back)

SO this year I am going to do my own party but not a house party, like maybe a go to Sasha and not get pissed off at everyone party.

pm me if interested, we can probably pool our funds and get a table (but tables suck as your bottles always get stolen by cheap yak-offz)

We need security here....
