Tracks like Epsilon 9 - Lifeformation (Infernal Machine Mix)

Epsilon 9 - Lifeformation (Infernal Machine Mix)

appears on James Holden's Balance 005 Track 8 on CD2

This was actually released in 2002 on Forbidden Planet Records.

I would like to know other kind of tracks like this. This is the trance that I love. None of this full blown epic synth riff shit. Just subtle melodies over the top of cranking beats & bass.

Midtone - Pearl is another example of the stuff I like.

Any suggestions would be very helpful...

Half the shit listed in that thread is stuff I already know about. Mainly belted up progressive anthems from 1999/2000.

Epsilon 9 was a fairly unknown track up until now, thats why I'm interested to find out if there are any other little gems like this one coming off fairly unknown trance labels.

Teknoscaper -

music is music interpreted on an individual scale, u dont need to put a name tag on each beat of the song just so you can go and tell everyone that you know ur "progressive" tracks. Different people are compatible with different types of music, and hence often if they like a track that semi suits the genre that appeals to them, its easier for them to classify it in that particular genre.

At the end of the day, its whatever sounds good to yourself that really matters. The beauty of music is that there are no rules, if it sounds good, u cant help it, whether it be cheesy trance, prog, rock or rap.

Get over the whole division of which genre is better and who labels what as what.

Excuse me for trying to help. Read the other half of items then.

Midtone - Pearl would be listed in that thread somewhere I'd say.

Once again, if you're after some more gems, try reading that list. Sure 1/2 may b anthems, read the other 1/2.

nice paste, unfortunately its quite meaningless in this case

I'm not divising anything, I know what sound I like, you can call it what you want I don't care, as far as I'm concerned I only wish to find out more tunes like this which are released on trance labels, simply because I'm a prog freak who doesn't always have the time to research trance labels as well as the progressive labels which seem to take up most of my time.

I realise you're tying to help and I'm grateful, I should've rephrased, ALL of the stuff listed in that thread I've heard of before, I don't mean to sound arrogant but its reality, I'm a prog whore.
