Ferry Corsten @ House of Blues L.A.
ok so last night was fuckin unbelievable! no lie... DJ Rap is the most energetic DJ i've ever seen, and truly inspiring for a DJ like myself. Yes her tracks were no where near that of Ferry's but i had a better time dancing to her opening set than to Ferry's. However Ferry made my hair stand up so many times... I did see some TA's there, but they got kicked out, i'm not sure why. People were also getting kicked out because of camera use, so we didn't take any pictures. Ok onto the good stuff... heres what i remember for tracks.
DJ Rap:
1. Naked On the Phone
2. Satisfaction
3. Nirvana - Nevermind
4. that song that goes... "i've never been to the USA.. i am slave to the minimal age" or whatever... u know it, i sang it quiet loud lol
Ferry:
Opened with Stone Cold...
went into Micro De Govia - Aura Indigo(top tune in my box)
played Naked Angel
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Ferry Corsten - Rock your body rock(by far the biggest tune of hte night)
System F - Exhale
and he ended with Gouryella - Ligaya (Hiver & Hammer mix)
for the first hour & fifteen i knew about 90% of the songs he played, but the last half hour was very weird, he would play some super euphoric unkown track and then play this weird techno/trance filler record... people weren't feeling it. However i can say that from the sounds i heard, it sounded like a new Pulser record, a new Signum & for some reason this one track he played reminded me of Lange, so i'm guessing we have a lot of new tracks coming out in the next few weeks. As i remeber more tracks i'll post what he played...
and on good note... I HAD A FUCKIN AWESOME TIME... and showmanship is really where DJing is going. cheers.
