Starting a Studio

although ive been djing trance for about 3 years now im pretty new to trance addict and live in glendale, ca where there is no trance scene. Only people that live down here that are somewhat known are dj r-man and cloud 9.

Im starting a studio and so far I just bought a roland jp 8080 for around 425 on ebay and a brand new steinberg midex 8 for around 350. i cant decide what keyboard to use and which steinberg sequencer to use also. i also need opinions on rme hammerfall soundcards because i am going to use a pc for production running windows xp pro. wat else am i gonna need. i also have a alesis midiverb 4 and a zoom studio 1201 for reverb. any help is welcome

You need a computer. Sound card depends on how much you want to spend. The hammerfalls I think are good cards, but I have no experience with them. The Delta 10/10 is also a nice card.

If you're running a PC, you need either Cubase or Nuendo. Cubase SX 2 is out now. Maybe go for that.

Waves Platinum Bundle
Spectrasonics Atmostphere
A good Midi controller or something like a Virus KC (a good synth with a 6 octave board)
Studio Monitors: Mackie 824s
A mixer: depends on $
A wave editor: Sounds Forge/Wavelab
