This is the first time hearing DJ Shadow for me. This mix is completely Old Skool Hip Hop. Not my bag of tea!!! Though the first song and intro was undoubtly off the hook, it went sraight down hill after that. If the mix would have stayed the same the entire 100minutes as the first 2, I would have liked it (Because I do like some hip hop). Has anyone ever heard his stuff before? Pete tong was talkin like he was a producing god. Are there any DJ's who have entire rap mixes that arent old skool?

The first half is some pretty good old style hip-hop, and the second half was like 50's music with scratching. At least the one I heard. Does he have a new one out or something?
Yeah, anything DJ Shadow touches turns to pure unrefined awesome. He could mix gospel and country, and somehow, against all logic, it would be really good. Because he's cool like that.

bleh have to say i agree
dj shadow's albums, endtroducing, the private press etc, his recent remixes (six days etc) have been awesome, but i didnt like his EM much :/
started off real nice, and i suppose the 60-80 mins after that would be good if you like hiphop, but wtf was with the like folk rock crap he started playing near the end? :L
