What an odd feeling...

Ive been making music in fruityloops for so long that I Knew what it sounded like to have music close to a 'pro' sound but now that Im using things like Reason and Logic the whole interface is new and because my eyes aint used to it my ears cant focus on weather or not the stuff sounds shit.
Has anyone else been throught this?

It feels shitty because Ive trained my ears for so long and now Ive lost it because of the new programs Im using

yeah, but it during the production, when you dont have the time to keep playing an mp3 and you rely on your ears to remember.

Dude I no what you mean! The best thing to do is to play the tune with your computer monitor turned off and if you have a turntable put the needle on a record so it looks like its playing from that. You will no straight away if your tune is any good.

or you could rename your mp3 to DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, Ali Baba or Puff daddy and imagine this is a new pro tune. And then:

Once you get use to the new program, your brain will have to spend less CPU on processing visuals and starting putting more attention to your hearing. Its perfectly normal. It happened with me when I moved to Cubase as well. Once you feal comfortable with your new program, you should settle down.
