I tried this program once too and the most sounds I got out of it where of a rather mediocre quality.
But maybe you can post a sample of the kick, it is very hard to tell what to do now...

I just downloaded it because It was a good idea to have a "kick maker" handy. what do you do instead? download loads of kick samples? well if it is that mediocre a software, do you recomend any other? stil the Idea of having a "kick maker" handy still rings nice in my head.

I have a large base of samples of basedrums and I combine some to get other ones. This works quite good I think.
I don't know of any other "good" percussion making program and if someone else does know a good program, let me know!
You can also go out and buy a good drum machine, which will have the right capabilities to produce drums. But working with samples has worked great with me for some time now, so I suggest you try this as well!
