When the music is blasting at 120dB+, I don't think that many people will be sitting there analyzing if the record is slightly off-pitch. LOL
Seriously, when people talk about things being off-pitch then they usually mean the relative pitch to other parts of the same song. Since when you increase the track's pitch all the elements of the song are changed so it isn't that easy to tell if it has been changed or not (except if there's chipmunked vocals) ... unless, like raverchickadee said, you know the track by heart.
