Splitting Mp3's can it be done?
I know you can split WAV files but are there any ways to split an mp3 file? Bc i just got this cd/mp3 player and when i play the mp3 cd's for example it won't fast forward and if i stop the player and resume play it picks up at the beginning of the track and not the time it was at, so if i am 2 hours into the liveset and for some reason i have to turn the discman off and re start it will start at the beginning of the track. So does any one have any suggestions what i could do to fix this?
Bc when u burn an mp3 cd its data and on my nero when u burn as data u can't split the tracks/or data unlike when you are burning an audio cd u have an option to split the tracks in the nero editor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yeah, there's mp3 workshop, it allows you to cut the songs.
I use it to cut out samples and singles out of essential mixes, songs, Gu, etc.

So even if i use the cue...since i can put several livesets on a cd can I use several cues? Do i have to do it in a specific order?
Question, questions, questions..I am clueless on this matter...

Oh wait, I didn't read that you're working with an MP3 cd player. Just split the set up and make some playlists that are compatable with your cd player (I think the m3u one works with a lot)
I use mp3cutter to cut my mp3's
Edit:
There are probably many better programs out there that lets you load a CUE file and split an mp3 into several smaller files accordingly.

He wants to split up live sets. He probably doesn't want to split them every X megabytes, but by every 1 track instead

Yeah thats what i want to do..I dont even care if i split it up every 5 minutes or so..just so i can jump from one track to the next..Checking out this mp3 cutter page.. U think this will resolve my problem..I guess its a pain to go through every liveset and cut it up every 5 minutes or so but if it can do this great! Im sure there is a way a cue file will work but like i said i am completely retarded with those...
