Idea Opinions on Helping newbie producers

I was wondering what is the general opinion of the producers of TA on helping newbie producers. How far would you go in helping? Would you help at all? Do you wait for the newbie to become better skilled before helping? How did you all started? Do you think that because (if this is you) you almost went blind and crazy because all the sleepless nights experimenting behind the computer, that the newbie producers should go throught that too?

Please discuss

Depends... I'd write tutorials as soon as I have the time.

If I have the time, sure.

No... I've helped total noobs who didn't know what BPM/tempo was. In fact, I've taught music theory a couple of times

I was a lifeless 12~11 years old kid who had just discovered MIDI, wave editing and was into house music for a couple of years. Obviously, the music I produced couldn't really be considered house at all

But this is half of the fun really. Of course you can learn loads of things from others, but it doesn't beat personal experience. Even because since we're all different, each one has a favourite way to deal with sounds (that's why people can't even decide what the best softwares are). Thus, you should work on your favourite way rather than work on someone else's.

Besides, people can help you here:

i think those endless night experimenting on the puter is wat lets every1 develope thier own style. Without those painful nights...the reward of finally making a track u enjoy gets less pleasing.

Well I really wanted the opinions because, producers here don't see it like you they use your opinion as an excuse not to help newbies, ofcourse I don't want another more experienced producer give me private clases, but just help.... thanx for the opinions ppl, I wanted to know what you were thinking

You'll get a far better response in the production studio.
