anybody here ever join Columbia House DVD's? I wanna know if they send their DVD's in the plastic cases or those cheap ass cases which have the cardboard top.
cos if the cases have the cardboard top, i'll never join cos i hate cardboard DVD boxes.

Their dvds are the exact same ones as stores carry. So if a certain edition of a movie was made in cardboard, then columbia house will sell it in cardboard, and vice versa. I am pretty happy with their service, their prices are some of the best, when u sign up.

I don't like those cardboard covers either, I was furious when LOTR Special Extended Edition came in cardboard packaging but they are functional and do their job.
Armed with Photoshop (or similar image editing program) you can make your own covers by d/loading artwork from the net and buying cheap plastic DVD cases.

but then it will look cheap if u aint got a plush printer and paper.

Are their prices the same as in the store + shipping? Because I was reading the Canadian membership details and it said that it costs "as low as $19.95" per DVD + shipping. That doesn't sound too low to me considering new releases cost about $25.00

Alot of new DVD releases around here are only like $15-17. Then the week after they're all $20.
