djm3000 vs DJM 600 vs Empath vs X-9

It's Christmas time, i need to spend money. I'm definitely looking into buying a new mixer. Basically what it's coming down to are the following...
Tascam x9
Pioneer DJM600
Pioneer DJM3000 with the Rotary kit
Rane Empath
and if the new Denon is out, then I'm definitely going to look at that...
If anyone has or has tried a few of them, I would love to hear comparisons, or reviews. Thanks a lot.

Yea to be honest, I've used the xone64 a few times now, and while it is fucking sweet to use, I was expecting a lot more from all the hooting and hollering on these boards.

Denon X1500 won't be out till January, but I would def. wait to check it out before you buy one of those mixers...If it's anything like they say it's gonna be then it should blow those mixers away...I just hope the sound quality is there...

AGIpro has it advertised for $899.00, so it is competitively priced with all those mixers.

go to dn-s5000.com for more info

i'm gonna vote for the djm 3000 w/ the rotary kit. they're all good mixers, but i am partial to 19" mixers and the ability to have rotary faders or linear faders is nice.

I have a DJM3000, love it to death
its an effects tank, love the 19" layout, super sound output, talks to my CDJ800s, about $200 cheaper than the 600 for some reason

go for it
I dont know much about the new denon x1500, wasnt such a big fan of their x800 or x400 (used both a lot), but you should check it out first to make sure your not missing anything

I have a Denon dx400 and actually love it. So, I think I may wait for teh new one they have coming out. But i'm really digging the 3000 at this point...the rotary kit option is whats appealing to me more than anythign at this point.

they're all good mixers for sure. i'm not too fond of the 3000 though. the gain trim knobs are way to sensative and the curve on them is way too steep. it seems as though if you make the slightest adjustment on the gain it goes from real quiet to real loud, real quick. other then that it feels just like a 600.

Trouble is with a thread like this, the only people you get answering are people who have those mixers themselves. Most other people won't have used them. And people who own things tend to like them, and so everyone will say "buy the Pioneer, I love it" or "the Tascam is the best". You can't make an informed decision.

The best thing you can possibly do is to try them all out and decide which you, personally, like best. Most hardware stores will let you try the mixers out, especially if you intend to buy one of them... after all, if you're going to spend the best part of $1000 with them, they're going to help you, right?

Buy the mixer you are comfortable with, rather than what someone else thinks is great.
