fryday i mixed for the firts time in public whith turntables and there was something bothering me, i couldn't pre -listen my tracks decently because of the music coming out of the speakers was to loud, but not extremely loud.
This was really a problem so i had to turn to hiphop and r&b because then beatmatching isn't so very necessary.
anybody else had this problem? could you give me some tips

yea this has happend to me befor, theres a simple way to fix it GET GOOD HEADPHONES.... the better the set of cans you have the better you will be able to block out sound make shure they cover your intire ear and that they have a fair ammount of padding, theres enough threads about what type of headphones to go with, anyways gl

thanx mil0. i will sure buy new headphones cause the ones i had whith me had only cost about 15 euros (=15 dollar) so that says enough about their quality. at newyear i will be spinning whith some descent headphones. thanx for the tip

yea cheap pairs don't cut it. If you have a decent pair the loud music actually helps you. At least it did for me when I first played out in a bar.

the poineer ones I own have -23dB noise reduction. That combined with the fact that they get VERY loud should take away any problems.
