CDJ-100 Video?

Does anyone know where I could see a vid of the Pioneer CDJ-100 in action, I'm interested in it and am thinking of buying one. I'm unshure as to how the jog wheel performs (I know its not meant for scratching, but can it do some of it, or does it simply "jog"?)

The CDJ100 really doesn't have anything "fancy" that you would need to see in a video...

The jog dial is to set the cue and to pitch bend the tracks. That's all you can do with it. It has a couple basic effects also... Pretty basic CD player.. Little expensive due to the name on it...

If you're looking for something in the same price range with more effects/fucntions I would suggest trying the Numark Axis 8's. They sound just as good and have alot more effects etc. than the cdj100's.

go for the CDJ100!
i got one pair myself and can't be more happy with them.
they sure does the job, and you don't need all those fancy effects anyway. as said you got 3 basic ones on the cdj100 and thats all you need imo.

and when that is said. the cdj100 is much smaller and looks way better then the cd players in the axis-series. those are damn huge and looks more like toys in my eyes.

what i'm saying, you wont be disappointed buying the pioneers!

btw, there are a lot of these topics, so a quick search would help you a lot

Thanks guys...I have one more question: can u really use the jog dial to pitch bend acurrately? I'm pretty used to using the platter and don't really want to be pressing buttons. If its does all this I'll probably buy one over the cdj800

The Axis8 is superior in everything to the CDJ100 except durability.
However, any cdj model will last much longer due to front-loading (90% of malfunctions in cd players are in the platter).

Also the cdj100 is a bit cheaper... but CDJ800 is the way to go

I actually hate the pitch control on the 100's... It seems to lag when you first push the dial (maybe it's just me)... I actually even liked my old gemini cd players better than the cdj100's..My friend has the axis 8's and they work alot better and are alot more accurate than the 100's. plus they have pitch bend buttons for that little extra nudge.

I own Denon s3000's and feel they are superior to any pionneer product (even the 1000's) Didn't really like the 800's, I felt like I was going to break the platter. And the 1000's are WAY overpriced for what you get. For the price of 2 cdj1000's, I could get 2 s3000s and the new Denon x1500 mixer and still have $$ left over.

If you're looking at the low end of the price range, don't just buy Pioneer for the name, check out the other products in the same price range. But if you like the way they work, then get them, don't listen to me or anyone else here.

how is that possible? 800 uses same platter/jogwheel than the 1000,
and ive seen James Zabiela ABUSE that thing, without the slightest
noticeable problem. www.pioneerprodj.com has vids of the 800 being
scratched hiphop style, no problem there...

seriously? never heard of that. ive never had personal close
contac with a CDJ-800, but everyone, and i think even pioneer,
says the jogwheel/platter is the same. not to mention it looks
quite sturdy on the video on the website... hmm, will have to
compare them sometime...

I know that you can abuse it.. and I'm sure it's durable.. But when I tested them out, it just didn't feel right. especially on the 800. I'm sure if I played around w/ it more I would get used to it, but for me it def. didn't feel right. But w/ the denon I put a CD in and it was just as natural as spinning vinyl.
