Balancing Tonearm

Arghhh...this is making me mucho maddo!!! I can't seem to get my tone arm balanced... anybody willing to give DETAILED explanations on how to get it done? I'm using MKIIs

bare with me, I'm really drunk, but you know the big peice thingy on the end of your tonearm, you know the opposite of the cartridge, well turn it either clockwise or anti-clockwise till you get it so that the tonarm balances by itself completely level, then set the plastic peice to zero, without moving the weight, and then turn the weight to the righ t weight that the manual surgested, hope you can understand this cos I don't, so good luck.
