2010 - 2011 NBA Thread

Because there isn't one around and because I wanna see what basketball fans are around. Let's start with a few things:

1.) Miami Heat. Lol. Enough said.
2.) Derrick Rose is becoming an amazing point guard (even more so) and will soon be up there with the best.
3.) The East now holds most of the power, exception Lakers.

I'd love to talk basketball, but this section is dead, there's no point:]]

Heat will find their stride in due time. They have shown brief flares of greatness, drowned out recently by lack of chemistry.

Bulls are outstanding this year. Boston is also poised for a good run in the postseason. Gotta sit back and watch.

Oh, keep an eye out for Terrance Williams of the New Jeresey Nets, former UofL Cardinal.

Yay. Life.

Another big surprise are the Clippers, they are looking okay now, especially with the great appearance of Blake Griffin.

Spurs are on fire so far this season, but something tells me they will hit a wall when Ginoboli loses his hot steak.

I think the Celtics and Bulls have a great chance for playoffs this year, no doubt. The Bulls will look even better when Boozer is starting again, hopefully against the Magic this week. Magic looks good too under Dwight, as usual, and the Heat are inconsistent but do get the job done sometimes.

Magic can be just as inconsistent as the Heat. It reminds me of the Cavs with Lebron last year, they rely on Dwight entirely to carry them through every game. Plus, Stan Van Gundy seems like a really useless coach.

Interesting about the Cavs this year, they beat Boston, which the Heat failed to do. Should be fascinating to watch these teams in the playoffs.

What happens when (if) the Heat fails to make it very far in the playoffs? Will they sit there and point fingers? Will it be Lebron's fault? D.Wade's fault? Will Lebron up and bounce again after failing to perform?

I don't think the Heat will miss the playoffs. They may not seed as highly as everyone thought, but I'm sure they'll make the playoffs. They will make whatever adjustments necessary to ensure that they do.

And what's even more exciting is the Heat plays the Cavs this week. I'm rooting for the Cavs because they deserve it.

I never said they'd miss the playoffs, I just don't know how far they will make it once they get there. Who knows, maybe they will find their stride by the postseason? They really do look like they can be great, but they have to play their style of basketball at their own pace, not the other teams.

Boston beat the Cavs last night, thumped them pretty good. I guess that was in return for getting beat earlier in the season. Lots of exciting basketball to be played!

Oh yeah. Tons of stuff to come, still so early in the season!.

And I saw the Bulls get Boozer back last night against the Magic. Too bad it didn't work out so well, as they weren't very fluent and the Magic played pretty hot.

Bulls are playing really hot and the Heat are a lot more fluent than they were earlier in the season. The Spurs are still looking like the team to beat, but they don't look unstoppable. I'm most surprised with the way the Bulls are playing with starters Boozer and Noah out for many games this season. Rose is carrying the team and looking like a MVP candidate and All-Star starter.

Blake Griffin is also a beast and I for once see a bright future for the Clippers.
