but how can people who play musical instruments play other peoples songs when they went and where they wont, so whats the difference between someone playing musical instruments and someone re-creating someones song using computer software

Yes, it is. Like I said, most labels don't really care unless you're making money for it. If some artist records some other artists song to, say, an album he's going to need a permission for it. |
