Arrow Are there any BUZZ producers here?

There about quite a few music progs out there, some more noteable than others (exe: fruity loops, reazon, ext...). The prog I happen to use is BUZZ! I stumbled accross it about a year ago and have messed with it since. It's not exactly user friendly, nor not very stable at times (windows doesn't help the prob ) but it works fairly well. Anyway, the most attractive thing about it is that its absolutely free! And really, thats the only reason I stuck it out.

With as much time that I've spent with it, I hav't come across anybody who has used it, and most havn't even heard of it! I'm just looking for anybody who has used it and experienced it. Looking for a new insight, or just looking to learn something new from someone elses eyes. I feel a bit alienated.

BTW: u can find it at www.buzzmachines.com

I use it and I fucking love it. Flawless integration of VSTi, some awesome machines, and an interface that is quite effective once you overcome the rather steep learning curve.

There's really no point moving away from Buzz unless you're moving towards a hardware studio. Even then, Buzz is still quite acceptable though you'll want some other stuff to back it up probably.

I also read somewhere that Yunus Guvenen uses Buzz in his tracks. If you haven't checked out Mass Schizophrenia and Seyo In Blue u have missed something. The tracks are atleast as good as mr Holdens.

The vocals in Nothing (93 returning mix) were done in Buzz (with external processing of course, but that goes without saying for any vocal with any production platform).

I am a fruity user and I have tried buzz for a bit to see what the *buzz* about it was about. I personally don't like it too much b/c I feel fruity has a better interface and allows you to be more creative. Also, I figured, I already mastered fruity, so why the hell would I spend all that time learning a new program. I find the wiring part of buzz to be pretty intuitive and easy to use but you can do the same thing with fruity (by assigning the OUT for different fx)

WoW! Didn't know it was used on that big of a production scale! Maybe some of us BUZZ-heads can trade some songs or ideas. I'm really starting to run dry with it! I'll try and get my songs posted as soon as I can find place to set them (shouldn't be hard!). But I'm always looking for any person kind enoughe to host too..

I downloaded Buzz because it sounded interesting. One look at the interface, and I started crying. Crazy. Given, I didn't take much time to figure anything out, but it looked scary as hell.

Any tips on starting to use it?

First step would be to follow the Tutorial in the help section by pressing F1. Once you've done that, I can post some really simple songs for you so you can get an idea how shit is done.

If there's enough of a request I can post some more complete tracks as well, but that will require certain VST instruments that you guys may not necessarily have.

One thing I recomend is get used to the keyboard shortcuts. That makes moving around BUZZ a whole lot faster. Also, the tips that automatically start with the program are pretty good to!(a bit obvious, but some people look over that)
