Devices --> VST instruments --> V-Station

Alternatively, press F11.

Yeah, what he said. Also be sure to set the output of the appropriate MIDI track to the VST after you load it up.

I'm using CUbase SX. weird thing is when i use my Native INstrument such as Fm7 and Pro53. when i trigger my key note on my syth, theres a long latency before i can hear the sound. tats only when i on cubase and use it as VST> but when i open just the program by itself such as PRo53, theres not latency at all. I had set to ASIO.

wats really went wrong for the long latency?

Again, what ASIO are we talking about. Make sure it's the dedicated ASIO driver you're using (it usually says something like ASIO "model of your soundcard"). Avoid using ASIO Directx Full Duplex and Asio MME if possible.

Also check your timing settings in the control panel of your soundcard (if it's a decent soundcard, that's where you'll find the ASIO timings). Best way to set the timing, is to start at minimum latency, and listen for crackles and clicks. If you have clicks, increase the buffers, until the clicks disappear.

Currently I'm using M Audio Delta 6/6.
I use ASIO Multimedia Driver under ASIO Driver.

Disk buffer size - 128Kb
No of Disk Buffer - 4

I tried changing to M Audio ASIO, but either if I use my mouse to trigger on the VST or trigger the key note on my syth,the sound jsut went on without stopping. Sound like it hanged.

But when i Change to ASIO Mutlimedia Driver, there nuthing wrong for the sound except for the latency that occur the problem for me.

Anyone had such problem?

Man, that's like buying a porsche and replacing the engine with something from a Nissan Micra. The MME driver is the last one you want to use. Use the Delta ASIO driver. I don't know why you have a stuck note though. Other than the amp release being on full, maybe try reinstalling the driver. Does the Delta ASIO driver work in the standalone version of your synths? If so, it would seem that the problem lies in Cubase and not the driver wouldn't it.

Asio

I think that the problem is either with the drivers, try getting latest driver from the m-audio website and reinstall. And play around with the card setting around. I have sx 2.1 and delta 66 and I have no problems. My buffers are at 512 i think.. Have no pops and no cracks, and the latency is really good. Are you running win xp? And i had sx 1.6 before and never had any problems with latency, If you fix the drivers it's just the matter of setting the card up, and use the asio of the audio card you're using, it's way better than the mme stuff.... If you can get the problem fixed message me and i'll give you exact setting of my card... Maybe you have a simmilar setup and it might work.. Or i could just email you my saved setting for the card.. That might work, or not... Never hurt's to try.
