Also, DVD on PC isn't that bad. I have a 21" TV and an 17" monitor on the PC so it's not much of a gain watching it on TV. Plus I got a Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 sound system on my PC. |
I figured somebody would ask, and as far as I know, in DVD-video everything is ran through the decoder (on your video card or possibly piggybacked off your video card) before it is outputted on your sound card, though I may be (severely) mistaken in this belief.
Most people's home stereo is in most respects superior to their computer's audio output capabilities and arguing that it looks better on your computer is a ridiculuous thing to do although if your tv is of similar size of your monitor the difference might be negligible. And finally, dvd playback ties up your computer which kind of sucks (although I doubt your going to be watching a movie and doing something on your computer simultaneously).
