Weird. This is very weird. I done it once but yet it come on the same qtn to me again. I format my comp i reinstall my Cubase.
Now i doing my MIDI, when my MIDI is done, I would like to Real Time Rec from my MIDI Track to Audio Track. But when I hit play on MIDI track, theres signal on it. but I cant seem to see any signal on audio track. Of coz I had set everything correctly and I made sure that the REC arm button was on.

But still theres no sound. every single driver was installed. It happen to me once but i manage to troubleshoot this problem, but it seem like now it happen, i had zero in my mind and i seeking help..

Does anyone know wat happen indeed? Why isnt my MIDI track going into my Audio Track as i wan to rec it in?

Just want to clarify. It only occur when I use the VST like FM7 and Pro53. My syth doesnt occur that problem. Weird.

Have you set the output for that midi track to FM-7 or pro-53. you need to make sure that the midi data is being sent to the synth. Can you hear the sounds, or can you only see the little midi metre going up and down.

It could be that you have the wrong midi channel selected or like I said in the PM, that you have the midi channel muted when you record and that you need to solo the midi and the audio channel.

Oh. i think i got it wrong..

I mean I had play/write the note on MIDI. Yes, theres sound. However, I wanna to rec into wave. So I arm the REC button on AUDIO track. But there no signal going into AUDIO track which i can rec as wave.

I got sound when I played. As mentioned from you. yes i did all that and no wrong but still i dunno why theres no signal going to Audio track and rec as Wave. The output was all set properly . only this problem im facing. It seem like i cant rec anithing.

It seem like it was been blocked by letting the signal in. Same goes like while Im listening to radio online, and i wanna rec it live. But theres no signal for it.

How u think was the problem?? Sorry, i know its kinda messy and confusing, however this wat i really facing the problem now.

I'm not sure then. Sorry mate, but its hard to tell without being able to see all the settings. Personally, I use an external mixer so all the sounds go out into the mixer and then back into Cubase to be recorded so your setup is different to mine, but it should be the same. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Yup. Same as u do. I had an external mixer too.. but find it weird that why the MIDI dun go into my audio track n rec as wave. weird. sighz thanks mate

Maybe its a Cubase problem. You could always try installing SX version 1 on your computer, I haven't had any problems with it.

infact, i using Cubase SX 1.

The prob which i had discovered was I cant rec it as wave on audio track when I play back on my MIDI. I'm using VST instrument Pro53. I did change the Midi Output to Pro53.

However, when i change back to my sythesizer output CS6x Yamaha, i can see signal going INTO the audio track.

Look like it can only detect sound from my syth itself but not the VST instrument. I tried boht FM7 n Pro53.

Anyone know?? Perhaps can someone tell me, how u all rec as wave when u done up a midi track via VST instrument?

so depressed with the sound and keep scratching my head to get it done
