he's only doing this to try and mend relations with the US, just wait til his son or some shit gets caught with a 1/4oz or something and he has to go to jail instead of paying a fine, i liked the laws the way chretien had them, fuckin martin is gonna suck.

what this is actually news to people or you actually surprised at this. My gosh, there will be court challenge after court challenge about this and the laws won't be made clear for yrs, that is Canada's laws for you. You know one province will pull the notwithstanding clause and the laws will be ????. Honestly tho, the CDN gov't needs to spend it's time on better things like scrapping the youth offender act (allowing courts to jail murderers for life...even if they are 15), scrapping the sex offender act and making it an automatic life sentence for molesting children. That needs to be done, same with the parole system. Toughen all that up then think about dope.

I couldn't agree more, governments are so fucked up, are there any good ones in the world.
