I looking to make a trance clap but I'm not sure how it's made.

It's a hard slightly distorted sound sound that cuts of very quickly with no release. It's used in a lot of energetic/uplifting tunes.

Please help if you can

You can also use a strong snare, distort, reverb, take a bit off the amp attack to its not as sudden and give it a bit of a tail with some reverb. Works really well to give a driving sound. Same principle with the clap to make it sound less standard and "clap" like
