Sneaker Pimp ID&T Sensation White

Hey there. Just wonder if anyone can supply me with any useful info?
I am hoping to travel to Amsterdam this year for the ID&T Sensation
White event. Just wondered if anyone else has travelled to the event
in previous years and how they found it ?

Also, have seen (and heard) footage from event but what is the
venue capacity ?

Thanx ...

Personally I don't like Sensation:

- No wardrobe
- Public Transportation can be better
- The Amsterdam Arena isn't build to play music in

I visited Sensation back in 2000 and 2001. Both parties we're ok, but not that great. The capacity of each Sensation is approx. 38,000.

DUDE! i showed up there 2 days before sensation white this summer....scored 2 vip tix! one word....FAWKINGFANTASTIC! altho im more into harder style music i had an awesome time. they even have footage of me dancing on the video for it. i have it!

not sure if you heard of dj marnix he had the opening set, check it out, he has the music online www.djmarnix.com ....but i ended up partying with him and his friends at his flat afterwards. carryied his records back to the car after the party! it was sic! the whole town gets involved. all the stores are selling white clothing before the event, then black clothing after white.

if you are going, go to both! they will be only a week apart. check out some of my pics if you like. all the ones of everybody in white are from that night, then other are from other parties i hit. trust me dude you can't go wrong with amsterdam. personally if i go back this summer, it will either be for the amsterdam dance event, or dancevalley. or tidy weekender 5 is there in may i think.

http://photos.yahoo.com/gallaghersteve go into the fear and loathing file.

hope that helps mate.

yes JP is right. Sensation is OK but europa and holland have better partys to offer.

Dance Valley (2004 is the 10th edition, it is going to be huge, 16 areas, 60 000 people)
Mysteryland (great festival location, nice decors)
Love Parade (Just one of the best partys)
Nature One (3 days of partying)

the 4 partys i mentioned above are each 1000000000000 times better then sensation.

that is in the UK not holland. But also a great party. Planning to go there in the near future, though british party organisations arent as good as the dutch

in holland there is a hardhouse organisation called HQ (High Quality) For about 8 years they are having hardhouse partys every last friday of the month. Also they are hosting the hardhouse stage on events like Dance Valley, Impulz Indoor, Impulz Outdoor, 4 elements. Almost every hardhouse dj played for HQ (BK, Andy Farley, Lisa Lashes, Lab 4, Yoji, Dave Randell, Sterling Moss) HQ also invited UK hardhouse organisations like Frantic and in januari Riot!. One of the HQ-crew told on a forum there will be a Tidy-HQ party in the near future. So it is not a Tidy-only party. I think a few tidy djs will be playing with the HQ-dj residents (tom harding, JP) The venue will be the melkweg in amsterdam. The capacity is about 2000 people so it is not that big. But the atmosphere is really really great.
