Reason users, I need your help!

Hi
I recently got Reason (the full version).
I am trying to build a build up but everytime i put another instrument, it plays them all from the start including the new instrument...
why? and how do I prevent it from happening?

Thanks

Well i don't think you can get the full version off the Internet... the progream is 2 CD's big...
I got it from a friend of mine who produces music for Channel 2...

Try to talk with some of your friends, maybe they know someone who has it.

Or just buy it

Gil,

I can't really figure out specifically what is happening in your situation...

What are you creating the build with? Redrum and samplers?

Are you using the sequencer, or strictly playing the redrum loops?

What do you mean it plays them all from the start?

If you are using the sequencer(the play, stop controls at the bottom), your left and right loop markers maybe set to play from the start.

If you are using the sequencer, and you hit play, sometimes, redrum will still be on, playing whatever loop is loaded, overtop of what you have in the sequencer? So, you can load up a blank pattern, or simply turn redrum off. (a little bug, I suppose)

Well, I've figured that one out alrady
Still, I do have one more question
how the hell do I use the Matrix sequencer?
I can't get it to play...
I write everything I need in the edit section and the channel...
I see the volume slides in that little box but I don't hear a thing!

WHY?????

Well, I'm no expert on the matrix, I don't care for it that much.

But I know you have to use it in junction with the subtractor synth or a digital sampler. When you first load up a new reason file, the one at the bottom will show you how to wire them up.

Make sure you're volume is up for whatever you are using, arrange some notes, make sure they have volume on the matrix box (I think you have that covered).

Give that a shot. Sometimes the wiring is the problem.

Is it somehow related to the "show cables" in the options menu?
when I see the back of all instruments and its cables?
