Roland JP8000 or JP8080 ????

I am looking into getting a Roland JP8000 or JP8080. But can someone tell me the diffrence between the JP8000 and the JP8080. The only difference I noticed was that the JP8000 has an intergrated keyboard on it. But do they both produce the same sounds effects? I already own a basic keyboard controller so would it make most sense to grab a JP8080? Which one is better?

I look forward to your replies.

Thanks,
Michael

8080 has more voices too. Get the 8080 and post in the production forum.

get the 8080 and buy a midi keyboard.. there are more functions and with the midi keyboard you can have it send midi info into all your rack mountable synths.. its better imo.

With the 8080...
you have 2 more voices (10 compared to 8)
you have the vocoder
you also have voice modulation.

its also a bit cheaper.

It should be a no brainer.

p.s. i love mine to death.

Hi rb2k1,

This tutorial looks great, and I look forward to giving it a try. I'll be getting my JP-8080 in the next few days as I just won an eBay auction for it. I'd love to see some similar more tutorials for the JP-8080. When do you expect to post some more of them? Please let me know when you have any more available!!

Thanks,
Mike
