Arrow Perfect Beat !!!

Hey Guys...
I'v been spinnng for about 3 years..baught I just got new equipment, so it's a little bit different...
I never actually paid that much attention to my fading. I'v got the perfect beat...BUT, WHEN I FADE IT WITH OTHER TRACK, PERFECTLY IT MAKES THAT FUCKED UP SOUND, WHEN 1 DRUM IS LOUDER THAN OTHER...I DONT THINK IT'S THE GAIN, BUT WHEN I BRING A PITCH HIGHER/LOWER ON ONE OF THE DECKS, THE SOUND STOPS, BUT IT DOESN'T SOUND TOO PERFECT ANYMORE...........HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not really sure what you mean, but sometimes drums will interfere with each other if they are beat-matched exactly. You can hear this very well when you use two of the same records, but it can happen with different ones, too.
When I bring the new record in, it always has the bass turned down, sometimes a little bit, sometimes all the way. Try taking the bass out before you fade in...might help

hmm..thats the way I always do it. Bass down on the record being brought in, stop fading whenever sounds good...change from bass 1 to bass 2, then fade rest of the way...

try coming in with the bass down on the cued record then start bringing up the cued tracks bass and you begin to cut the playing tracks bass. Ive found that fading over to the cued track with no bass kinda looses the tempo and brings the kids down a little.

what you are talking about is basic physics (which i failed at school hehe)... think of two separate soundwaves in sync and the 'beat' is represented by crests in the waves. when you are playing the two channels at the same time the two waves join into one wave and go thru the master output. if your crests, or beats, are perfectly matched - they will join together to become bigger crests and hence a louder beat.
for those of you who have no imagination ill give a clue...

this is an example of one wave - if two joined together the crests and troughs would be double the size.

i guess by now you are wondering how it disappears... WELL I KNOW THIS TOO :P hehe
instead of the two waves joining together, crest to crest, to become double the size - they join out of sync (crest to trough) and cancel each other out and you end up with a flat line (no sound).

confused yet? :P
