i have them and think they are good.. but i can't really tell you how good they are, because i've only the 1030A and never used other monitors in my studio. so i can't compare well with other monitors..

but you should go into a music store and listen to some monitors and take what you think it's the best for you.

They are very good, I'd even say among the best of their range.

If I have to compare them to another model, I'd say the Mackie HR824. They go low, loud, are clear.

They are a little more tiring in the highs than the 824, but still I prefer the Genelecs. I kinda have the feeling the 824's are bigger than life, they tend to make a lot sound beautiful. The 1030's on the other hand are more revealing. If something sounds bad, you'll be sure to hear it on those.
