This isnt a new tune

POLICE are sifting through security footage and calling for witnesses after three young men, armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a Samurai-type sword, terrorised a couple in a car early today.

But that was just a dream, That was just a dream, But that was just a dream, Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream ,Just a dream, just a dream, Dream

well im sorry then. i just thought it was a funny thing to focus on when the real issue was something more disconcerting.

it is becoming a problem and it sucks. who wants to put up with that kinda shit when they're out? strange how the words "samurai" and "nightclub" were thrown around.

Yep, sounds like the Bubble dress code. It's not a "Melbourne" thing, btw, it's a "Saturday nights @ Bubble" thing - everyone there seems to candy it up. Outside of that place (and to a lesser extent HK) you don't see it much at all.

But yeah, all this nightclub violence in Melbourne is pretty fucked up atm. Sad thing is, when shit like this happens, the entire scene suffers. People are less inclined to go out, police are more likely to crack down, local politicians are more likely to get involved (a la the Salt thing) and the scene loses its vibe - all because of a few dickheads who couldn't hold their beer. :-/

im sorry renegade, i usually find you are pretty spot on with your observations and i always hold your views in high regard but on this occassion, your comments are a little unfounded. Bubble has become anything but a haven for kandy ravers, you get a few but not as much as there used to be.

in fact the kandy brigade overall in melbourne has slowly wittled away into a shadow of its former self. the only people who wear the outfits now are the "n00bs" as you will and in no way are they true indicators of the "real" club scene in melbourne. so you are right in that you don't really see it much at all and the same can really be said about the club bubble itself.

also does anyone else really believe that it had anything to do with the club? yeah sure it happened in its vicinity but co-incedence maybe... hmmm i dunno.
