anyway i cant see the video but as i was reading the transcript... "I mean, afterwards you're like, hell, yeah, that was awesome. Let's do it again." BANG! I remembered this video. IIRC I saw it on Democracy Now!. even if it is out context, how can killing someone be awsome and want to do it again?!? |
To quote Winston Churchill, "there is nothing quite so exhilarating as being shot at and missed".
Not that I agree with or support what those marines said, but I'm sure there is an adrenaline rush that goes hand-in-hand with killing an enemy combatant. We have no idea what goes through their heads--they're living in a different world than the rest of us when they're in combat--it's hard to really put yourself in their shoes.
