what was club five doing? just a typical nye party? i was still too jet-lagged to do anything. drank with my family all night and i think we all passed out before 12.

I wasn't anywhere near DC on New Year's. I was hired to spin at a party of about 300 people. All in all it was a good party, but to my dislike it wasn't as close to a true EDM set as it should have been. I'll have to post photos if I manage to get my hands on any.
I did manage to work in Motorcycle and the G&D remix of Sarah McLachlan "Fallen"... ownage!

Basically. A little house music upstairs on deck (which they tented) along with an open bar and a bottle of champagne at midnight. I had more than a few Absolut/Red Bull's but abstained for about 4 hours before I had to head back to B-more.
It was fun but not quite what I was expecting.

Unfortunately, true EDM is hard for most people to understand if they don't associate with it like we do. Hopefully they'll learn some day.
