Question SB Live + Traktor Setup

Does anyone have a one SB Live Value and Traktor DJ Studio 2.0?

Is it possible to set it up so u have Deck A and Deck B sound as well as headphone sound with just that one sound card?

If so, what is the setup and how to do it?

I also have two sound cards, but in the settings it doesn't allow me to use both? Has anyone managed to do the right setup?

Yes, Traktor V2 only works with one sound card. So the only solution is to download the Kx Project Drivers for the Sound Blaster here: http://kxproject.spb.ru/index.php

Once you get these installed you should be able to hear the cued track in the headphones while the other is live. In the Traktor settings, set the device to "MME kX Wave CTxxxx 10k1 [b400] 0/1" and then the channels should be split. THis is what works for me, however, there is a little decrease in sound quality that I notice.

Hi, this might be a totally n00b question, but anyway-

I too have a SB Live card, with my speakers plugged into the
green socket. Which colour socket to I plug my headphones into
to enable dual channel sound in Traktor
Remaining sockets are black, pink, blue & yellow.
And how do you setup and test the KX driver after you've installed it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. thx

for audigy : taken from the old Traktor-dj website
http://web.archive.org/web/20030403...ge=ELEMENT_HOME

This doesn't apply for older SB live cards, where the APS or Kx drivers must be used. The site for the kx drivers has already been given, but you can also get the APS drivers (the first pseudo asio drivers that started the hype) at http://come.to/sblive

Look you know wat, I'm sorry for being offensive... But I'm gonna give u one last word of advice... If you're spinning with this program in a club, don't pull a paul oakenfold and do a god pose while ur mix is goin through, people are gonna realize ur full of it.

Please, your opinion is your own, and you have a right to it. But try to be respectful. Spell correctly, concentrate everything into one post, and try to be constructive. Also what makes you think the software is bootlegged?
