My review of Innercity, Amsterdam 12-20-03
I thought I might share my review of this event, in case you didn't catch it somewhere else.
Naturally, it was amazing. ID&T always puts on a good show and I knew it was going to be amazing since 45,000 ppl were attending. But there was NO way to expect what I saw. I thought Mayday was a blast but INNERCITY...well....

Pictures can't really grasp the enormity of the event. I went with JP, KLINGKLANG77, NetX (GTA) & his girlfriend and we met up with some of their friends. There was an ENTIRE AIRPLANE HANGAR just for coats!! I suppose 45000 coats takes up a bit of room . Anyway, it took a lopng time to get to the main hall because we had to walk through the whole complex as it was on the other side. When we got there we mangaged to find a good spot on a raised platform near the front so we could see the DJ and also look down on the crowd. I didn't move the whole time. I stayed there for Tiesto, Sven Väth, and PvD.
They started with this Carnival-ish Dance thing with all these Brazilian dancers and this girl shouting "EEENerCEEEtie!!". The girls were gorgeous, the dancing was great, there were insane confett cannons. I tell you, I wanted to cry. I had the most fun I have ever had in my life. I have never been happier.

Tiesto's set was great. I didn't know all the tracks so it was new and fun and made me love the ones I DID recognize even more. The best moment of all was when he played Traffic. I have never seen such love and devotiion/emotion for a DJ. Since this was Amterdam and it was Tiesto, these people were his true fans. I looked out over an OCEAN of hands in the air, everyone screaming and smiling. I still get chills thinking about it. I wish I had a picture from that exact moment. It was my best "party moment" ever.
The crowd thinned a bit for Sven, but I was happy for that. It gave us plenty of room to dance and Sven played an awesome set. I am really beginning to dig Sven. He was great at Kool Haus as well. He was also better than the final act of the night, my PvD himself. PvD's set was a total disappointment and that's all I am saying.
ALl in all, it was an amazing night. The dancers were wonderful, the people were beautiful, the vibe was great. Even the bathrooms were clean!! It was truly magical and I spent it with really special people. I will never forget that night and once again, I have to thank Tranceaddict because I never would have KNOWN about Innercity if it wasn't for this site.
Sometimes, I just feel so damn lucky. Special thanks to Lisa for coming along, to JP for making it possible and for Harald, Manu & friends for being such good company. I love you guys, you're the best, you gave me the TIME OF MY LIFE!!
