hmmmm now looking to save up for:
definitely:
JP8080
Novation Remote 25 MIDI Keyboard Controller
Audiophile 2496 (soundcard) or Audigy 2 (I have a onkyo 6.1 system; does audiophile support 6.1?)
**any suggestions on a model of studio monitor speakers & a mixer WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED (something average; not too expensive... as you can see my choices for hardware I'm saving up for fall in the good quality hardware but not outrageously expensive.... not the best; but the best for the buck if you know what i mean ) (specific model name or at least company to go with)
*already have:
software:
**reason 2.5, cubase sx, fruity loops 4.1, FM7, Absynth, Atmosphere, Recycle 2.0, Reaktion, Waldorf Attack, Triangle II, Pro-53, Z3ta+)
**a whole bunch of sample CDs & refills
hardware:
***seinheiser hd 280s
***Onkyo 6.1 Home Theatre System (click on link for specs)
---above is the list of what I already have and hope on getting; if you see anything missing for me to have an ::easier:: time having potential to make amazing trance ch00nz please list. I am aware one does not have to have any hardware to produce amazing songs; but obviously having good hardware is a big advantage and it makes one a lot more time efficient; any more suggestions on any other hardware I should look into will be greatly appreciated
**thankx a lot for the previous help cheggy

If i was you , I would can the audiophile 24/96, a good sound card and monitors are the most important thing in a studio and although the audiophile has decent converters, you can get much better for little more. Quality and price , one card stands out , and I purchased this card , The Echo Mia Midi, which retails for 200 us, and if u got more money go with the rme 96/8 digi pad , it has better converters, lower latency and amazing stereo imaging and sound quality. If your recording from a jp8080 your gonna need a card with good analog to digital converters, and the rme has the AK5383 chip(used in the delta 1010 from maudio) which is a higher quality chip compared to the audiophile which uses the AK4528.
Get a pair of good near field monitors (I'm getting the event tr8's, they are great for the price 500 us, and have good low end response, if your mixing trance you want speakers that will give u that low end , so try to go for an 8 inch woofer)Dont use headphones to mix and master, they dont give u accurate bass response and no crossover. They are good for referencing. great headphones, cant go wrong are the "akg 240 studio " . I'll be picking up a pair.
Midi Controller - dont buy a novation remote 25, waste of money. you can use thr extra money for a second hand synth like a virus b. Get an edirol pc50 , its great, has nice keys, aftertouch, lots of knobs for automation and is built solid. stay away from m-audio controllers, and evolutions are good too but m-audio bought them out so i dont know if their worth it. after all whats a controller for, its just so you can punch notes into the piano rooll, no need for fancy gadgets that cost hundreads. edirol will do fine!
Microphone: Shure57 or 58, used by many artists in the industry. very good mic for vocals. industry standard
Get the jp8080, its better than the jp8000, it has 2 extra voices and a few other improvments. You can control it with your edirol, no problem there.
