this lack of all age parties is killing me

you promotors are all idiots ( no offense....) but how do you expect the RAVE scene to continue if none of the kids are able to get into it

by the time my generation is old enough to attend we wil have been sucked in by guvernment, or worse, rnb/hip hop and euro clubs

the rave scene isnt supposed to be filled with "kids"

i remmeber when i was young and i was so frustrated when i couldnt go to raves/clubs and my fake id got confiscated.. lol... but there is a reason for the 19+ law.. actually i think 18+ would more appropriate like in montreal.

I just turned 19 a few months ago.. and i know what its like.

Show all the promoters an all-ages venue that is affordable and maybe you'll start seeing more indoor all-ages events. Like someone just mentioned most of the all-ages events don't get advertised - you have to look for them (well there's one obvious place to find all the info when the season is right). Oh yeah and this is besides the point that the RAVE scene and the PSYCHEDELIC scene have been two very segregated countercultures here in Toronto for as long as I remember... but I would tend to agree that a little cross-polination could be helpful. Anyhow the guv/euro clubs is just one path some people take when they become "of age", and psytrance is often another path. Once the ravey gravy days are over some people want to continue in the underground instead of capitulating to the mainstream. Toronto's cozy little psytrance scene is a great place to be for those people

itikia - didn't notice, sorry. If the other thread was started by one of the actual promoters then perhaps this one should be closed.

can't say that I'm a *huge* fan of the dark hard stuff...so I'll be at Ultra Spin 4...but that's a pretty damn solid lineup!!! I really enjoyed Rhythm Logic's set at the Mockingbird a couple months back too...

btw...are the Resistor parties done? Someone told me the NYE party was their last one???
