DJM 600 or 3000?

ok i thought the 3000 was the best mixer that pioneer made, but the 600 is more expensive. i think the 3000 has 3 effects that the 600 doesnt, but is there anything im loosing by getting the 3000 instead of the 600?

also, do either of these mixers have a seperate volume control for booth speakers. i want one that has controls for master, booth, and headphones.

My djm-500 has a master, monitor, and headphones volume control. The headphones also has a level control as well as the volume. I'd assume that the djm-600 has all that and more. I assumed that the monitor out was going to be pretty weak, it's actually just as loud as the master out.

never sued the 3000
i own a 600 and yes it has controls for all that you asked about.
though ive never used the booth, i use the 'rec' out for recording and the mast out for the actual speakers, haha what the hell is it for?

also i bought some hum reducer thing for 100$, it has the huge headphone looking jacks for inputs but i converted them to rca for my cables, the instructions said to put the device between the signal and the amp, which i did. my master out goes to my stereo which is my amp, but it doesnt seem to do shit for anything. any ideas? its supposed to reduce certain frequencies that cause 'humming'.. wtf

Ive got a got DJM3000 sitting beside me
never used the DJM600

the 3000 is just a 19" version of the 600, so if you ever plan on mounting your mixer then get the 3000

3000 has no sampler, but some effects on the x-fader that the 600 doesn't. it has digital outputs that the 600 doesn't, extra microphone inputs. apart from the sampler i don't think the differences mean much, more about preferred format. I read somewhere that someone bought the 600 cos it was more spaced out between controls, which is funny cos I got the 3000 for the same reason.

hey deleriuM, do you like the 3000, any probs or complaints about it?

i went to the local guitar center today and played with the djm 500, 600, and 3000. i think ive made my choice and am gonna go with the 3000. it did have a few more effects than the 600. plus i like the fact that its a 19". i have fat fingers and the extra room between the nobs is nice. plus its $200 less than the 600, which makes it that much more appealing.

i know this is a stupid question, but what do you mean by sampler? im guessing that this is a feature that the 600 has? what is it used for and do i really need it? also is this something that can be added to a setup through an effects loop or something?

thanks for the help everybody!

cheers-
Phil

if yer gonna spend that much one a mixer, might as well spend it on an Allen & Heath.

the sampler takes a recording "sample" which you can play back.

the djm-600 has a hell of a lot more features then an A&H mixer for that price. YAH YAH YAH don't even start talking about the supposed sound quality or anything that like. the DJM-600 is THE CLUB STANDARD, if it sounded so crap or was so unreliable then it wouldn't be. Yes there are starting to be more A&H mixers in clubs now, but they are no where near the majority.
