If you have the Active reveals, you don't need an amp. The "active" means it has an integrated amp (two in fact, one for the low driver, and one for the tweeter). If you would have the passive Reveals, you would need an amplificator.

But still, to answer your question, you don't need amps that can deliver raw power like live PA amps. You mainly want an amplifier that reacts linearly (doesn't "color" the sound) and that has handles transients well. Well, couple of other things too, but that would require extra explanation I'm too lazy to give.
Good value for money studio monitoring amps are Samson servo series, or that new studio range from Alesis.

Crown make some nice ones too (but those are already more expensive). Of course, it's like monitors, if you want the best, you have to pay a lot. Bryston amps are among the best you can get, phase linear are not bad too, and I'll mention Hafler just to be complete.

Just connect the left and right rca's to the corrosponding left and right at the back of the reveals.

Not sure what the connection is at the back of the active (blue) tannoy reveals, could be RCA or 1/4 inch jack. You might need to get the appropriate leads.

Strep..its 1/4" on the Tannoy's but your saying I can get RCA adapters for the soundcard RCA's...and wire directly in. Cool.

Now...what if I wanted to also have my computer speakers (1/8" jack) to be hooked up.
Essentially, I want to use my computer for two things for the time being...recording music AND a personal workstation for everyday stuff. Would I need a mixer and some adapters for the 1/8" jack?

Why bother, just use the tannoys all the time.

You can get cables that are 1/4" on one end and RCA on the other.
