I'm currently remix lp - numb

whats toe best way to reduce the guitar so the vocals come out better?
boost de mid/high freqz with a program like soundforge?

use a spectral analyser too see where the single tracks are sitting in the mix.. then try to seperate them from each other.

Now don't ask me why this works, but:

Open the file in an sound editing program(I use CEP2), and phase invert the left(or right channel)and save it in mono format.

Now everything not center (ie not mono: like guitars/leads etc.) should be somewhat less audiable

Digital Aura, a spectral analyzer is a plugin that's useful for eqing, because you can use it to find out where individual sounds sit in the mix. A great free one can be downloaded here:

You're right 'angry' is the wrong word to use. 'Petty' and 'unhelpful' would be a lot more accurate.
