Question should i buy?

hey i was lookin for sum headphones to use for djing and someone in my area offered this post....
"have a set of AKGs for producing. They sell for about $200, I'll let you have them for $120 (firm). They are in perfect condition and were used maybe 20 times. They sit unfolded on my keyboard stand and they come with the bag."

somone after posted that they were pretty good but he was so hyped about sum nice pioneer ones for $260 that he thought i should get those haha, if the technic ("AKG's" are good then i'll get them for now and spend the rest on vinyl, if not welllll i'll keep lookin, thanx tons! P.S. all prices are CANADIAN... EH

i've never heard of the AKG's

my choice though would be the Pioneer HDJ1000's
they retail around 150 or so

i owned these awhile back... i found that the sound quality wasn't too bad... although i noticed a considerable difference in quality in comparisons to my sony MDR Z700DJ's... the sony's are way better also the tech's weren't very comfortable when playing long sets...

yo... honestly. dont spend your money on those technics or pioneers. get some sennheisers. i've listened to other headphones before but i just got myself a pair of Senn's hd-280. i had to break them in for like 2 weeks but the sound just gets better and better. they are amazing for djing. trust me and check them out. also i heard the sennheiser hd-25's are good as well.

p.s. i got my hd-280's fo 60 bucks on ebay. u can get them brand new for 70 or 75 at some stores.
