Unhappy

nope

it didnt like being overclocked

system didnt boot up, when it did, i got a FAT error, some corruption in the MBR and well...caused a format as my hard drive was just being queer, showed up as negative space and well...it wasted a good 2 hours of my life...fucking thing.

I think my 1900 only runs at 1.4.

last time I checked was a long time ago though, but I am pretty sure that is the number.

My 3000+ XP is 2.147Ghz stock...

Course the clock speed has nothing to do with actual computational speed, at least not anymore.

Sounds to me like your FSB speed is set too low. Let's say your FSB was set to 200 MHz to get that 1250 MHz, that gives a multiplier of 6.25 and if your FSB was set properly at 266 MHz then you'd have a 1663 MHz processor running speed.

What you probably don't want to do is change the multiplier. However, if the FSB speed is set lower than it should be, you can safely raise that to whatever your motherboard will support (if your motherboard doesn't support high enough FSB speeds, that may be part of the problem as well).

Hope that helps.

yeah, i don't quite remember, but i think my XP2800 is set to 133FSB / 15x multiplier, which yields the default 2GHz

search www.groups.google.com for "athlon 2000 fsb setting" or something like that
