*Review* - Armin Van Buuren @ Family 30th of Jan, Brisbane for a 6hr Set

Wow, what a great night! I don't think I ever enjoyed trance this much becuase there was so many new tunes and so many old classics.

I got into the club stright away at 9pm. Armins plat time was from 11pm to 5am in the morning. Family resident Hakka started of the night with some commerical dance cheese like kelis - milkshake remix and stuff like that. 11pm was fast approching and everyone was waiting for Armin to come into the DJ booth and by this time palce was getting pretty packed.

So the man finnally walked into the booth... and the crowd started screaming like crazy. I had goosebumps all over me and he didn't even play one song...

His set was pretty amazing to sum it up. I was gonna written down the tracklist but I was so into I spend a huge part of 6hrs on the dance floor.

Some tracks he played:

Sarah McLachan Fallen G&D Anti Gravity Remix
Mr Sam vs Fred Baker Forever Waiting Summer Calling Acapella in breakdowns
Bianary Fianary 1998 Ronski Speed Remix - my fav tune of the moment... this completly destroyed the dance floor with the buildup and its amazing melody. Goosebumps! The track following it was non other the Armins Remix of Motorcycle!! Amzing atmopshere!
Born Slippy Oakenfold 2003 Remix
Firewall Sincere Pulser Remix - As soon as I hear the Pulser clap i knew it was coming hehehe That track was amazing to hear live! Armin was flying and jumping here!
Solar Factor Urban Shakedown!
Katana Tribal Shock
P.O.S Remember
E.B. feat Taz Heal Instrumental Mix
Marco V vs Jens - Loops and Things - killed the dance floor :P
Push Universal Nation 2003! - WOO HOO
Push Strange World 2000 Remake - Woo Hoo again!
Coast 2 Coast - Searching - It was just like seening it at the Tiesto Concert DVD as it speeds up the floor exploded hehehe :P
Mark Norman Overkill - Fucken amazing live... never heard it live before... it was amazing atmosphere... Armin was loving it!
Solarcoaster Mixday Remix - Pure class... nothing more needs to be said... other then he followed it with 3 Fingers Frozen February Flake Remix and as he looked at me I had 3 Fingers and my hand and he just did the hugest grin ever and said thank you, one of my all time fav tracks \|/ <-- 3 Fingers! Most of brisbane clubbers don't know too much trance apart from hardtrance, but when he dropped PvD's Angel I think everyone knew it and the whole crowd was channting to melody! Goosebumps agian!

And then as the night was coming close to the end he played Communication. OMG what an amazing atmosphere
it created. Armin had alitte bit of tears in his eyes! So nice to see... he was loving it so much! Followed by Time to Die and then encore was Rising Star Remix of Burned with Desire.

As the set finished he threw few records into the crowd. He was loving it so much!

I got to talk to him for awhile at the end and get few things signed! What a champ! *thumbs up*

All I can say is FUCK!! What a night Armin just kept dropping them and destroying the crowd. He seemed to really enjoy having control of the $1 million sound system. He played so many ch00ns its hard to remember.

I got my ATRC vinyl signed YAY!
