hip hop at 3am...nuff said.

Did anyone who wasnt grumpy bcause they went on their own and couldnt afford more than 2 $9 drinks have fun...before 3 that is of course...

In dj's defense the dance floor had emptied when he did thes, and it started up again with the hip hop....dont know if was 1 song or more as i left

It's a nice place though but needs TAs to take over!!!

I was there on Friday Night and I spoke with Skoof the main DJ/producer.

Management tried to pull a fast one on him, and switched him out for a hip-hop DJ...

He was majorally pissed off about this as it was promoted as a Trance event. About 30 minutes later he got back on the decks, and spun trance for the rest of the night. It was one of the best sets I have ever heard in NYC.

The Hip Hop session was for like 20 minutes. The problem was, alot of people left when they were playing Hip Hop

I was going to leave to. Luckily I stayed and heard Skoof.
He is definitely a top trance dj.

the club DID pull a fast one on skoof, i will write a long review but in short heres how it went.
the trance was flowing, people were into it, and just then they made skoof get off and put a hip hop DJ on. Totally killed the night and the vibe.
On top of that, they screwed Skoof and the other guys who threw the party over with $$. They claimed they couldn't afford to give more than ONE hundred Dollars (way less than what was spent on setting up the party), meanwhile tons of people came over for the trance party not a hip hop party and left once hip hop was played.
Skoof's set was good and I would like to see more of him in NY.
I got well drunk, after all it WAS my 21st bday, unfortunetaly I did some dumb shit, what can I say tho 2 bottles of grey goose'll do that to you.
oh, and 2 bottles that wouldn't have been bought if Skoof didn't throw the party yet they claimed he wasn't worth the $$..

In short, the trance was good, the venue was nice, the club owners were dicks.


oh and on top of that all.
the club claimed DRINK SPECIALS ALL NIGHT:
$2 beers $3 shots.
to all who were there know that obviously wasn't the case.

hehe...yeah well i dont know about beer/shots, but my white russian was 9 bucks. I got em tho...someone cleared it off a table while i was dancing, and i made them give me a new one even thought there were only two sips left...gotta do this more often, seems to work well if you leave a good tip

The Story Behind Last Friday
LAST FRIDAY..THE 23RD, THE VUDU LOUNGE WAS SUPPOSED TO LAUNCH AN ALL TRANCE NIGHT PUT TOGETHER BY A TEAM CALLED ADDICTED. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT..THE OWNERS PULLED A FAST ONE ON THE TEAM AND THREW THEM OFF AND PUT A 20 MIN HIP HOP SET ON...SO MANY PEOPLE LEFT..AFTER THAT..AROUND 1 AM TRANCE BEGAN AND PEOPLE STARTED DANCING AND BUGGING OUT(THE ONES WHO STAYED)..ABOUT 350 PEOPLE(THE VENUE HOLDS 250 SO IT WAS PACKED)....ALOT OF PROBLEMS HAPPENED BETWEEN SKOOF AND THE OWNERS. AFTER 2 DAYS OF NEGOTIATING...THE CLUB MADE AN OFFER.....HIP HOP TILL 1..AND HOUSE AND TRANCE ALL NIGHT AFTER(KINDA LIKE AN AFTER HORUS PARTY).....AS OF NOW DJ/PRODUCER SKOOF IS CONTINUING WITH IT..IN HOPE OF HAVING HIS PEOPLE PACK THE CLUB AND HAVE SOMEWHER TO GO FOR A WEEKLY TRANCE PARTY..SOMEWHER ETO DANCE AND BUG OUT. IN MY OPINION..HE IS TOO GOOD FOR THAT PLACE..HE TORE UP THE PLACE WITH HIS SET..AND SHOULD NOT B WASTIN HIS TIME THERE(MAYBE THE MONEY IS GOOD)..BUT JUST TO FIL PEOPLE IN..THAT I TOO WAS AMONG THEPEOPLE IN THE CROWD WHO WAS FRIOUS WHEN HIP HOP WAS ON EARLIER IN TEH NIGHT...BUT NOW ITS OFFICIAL..THE NIGHT STARTS OFF WITH HIP HOP TO PLEASE THE YUPPIE UPTOWN LOSERS...AND THEN AFTER 1..ITS ALL TRANCE FOR THE TRUE....I HOPE EVERYONE ATTENDS AS I WILL...BECUASE I BEELIVE WE HAVE TO WORK HARD TO KEEP THE SCENE ALIVE...AND ITS ALL WHAT WE MAKE OF IT..SO IF WE ALL ATTEND..AND BUG OUT AND DANCE...WE CAN MAKE THIS ONE OF NYC BEST PLACE FOR TRANCE MUSIC..AS PROMISED WHEN IT WAS PROMOTED OVER 2 MONTHS AGO..
