Headphone mix on the A&H Xone62

Well I have a good friend who is a newb DJ that went all out and bought the very best gear you could pretty much get. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the Xone's interface would be so complicated and not learning friendly.

Anyone have any clue how to get the headphone mix (CUE/MASTER Fader) to work on this mixer? I've read the online manual myself and i've nearly come to the conclusion that it simply doesn't exist on this mixer. Can any owner of this particular model tell me otherwise? Any help appreciated thx

Haven't used a 62 in a while... but the 464 just needs for you to press the Cue buttons of the relevant channel you wan't to mix down and then just take both off when you want to hear the master. 62 was the same as I recal. Don't bother using split cue as it's not very good for matching volumes pre mix.
Also watch your ears if you are not playing the master on full, as cue always plays it as if it is on full.

Remember to hear the master on the phones you need to make sure that no Cue buttons are pressed.

Cheers
Nem

I was wondering how you can adjust the volume of the cue channels in comparison to the master mix like on the DJM600. You have a knob that fades between the cue channels and the master.

the cueing is either on of off there is no cue/master fader on the xone becuase it would deteriorate the quality. you can, however cue the master output by cueing the aux channel. just uncue all the other cannels, make sure that the "aux" button is pressed [under the split cue]. if you have the crossfader assigned then make sure that the aux level is up [above the pan] or if you dont have the crossfader assigned then make sure that the aux volume is up on top of the channel. there is a pre and post eq aux button also right to the bottom left of the channel aux.

what i do, personally, is to cue both tracks and if the beginning of the incoming track is not as loud, i will adjust the gain until i can hear it clearly...or if thats not good enough then i will uncue the song thats playing and just use one ear on the monitors, one ear cuing the headphones. but you always have to remember to set the gain back to match the volume at the middle [some high point of the incoming song] before you start mixing in.

you can also play with the split cuing but that makes me dizzy. to do that make sure the aux and split cue buttons are pressed down, and the channel that you cue is gonna go to the left earcup of your headphonem and the master to the right
