Hey everybody, here's a question and I would appreciate all the information posted!
I have been into electronic music since less than a year so I really don't know how to recognize the different genres, can anybody tell me how to do so?
techno, trance, house, prog house, prog trance, tribal, lounge, chill out, etc...
Because sometimes I think I'm right about something then someone that knows better than me tells me I'm wrong and stuff like that you know... would be nice to know exactly what I like and being able to recognize what I listen to..

If you search, you will find all the answers you need, and more.

I think there are defined standard, but electronic music has sooo many sub-genres that it could be open to interperatation. For instance, what I feel is 'hard' someone else may not. Do some research and formulate your own opinion is all the advice I can give. To me, it's just all music...
