Vangelis - Love Theme From Blade Runner (Michael Feihstel After Work Remix)

Vangelis - Love Theme From Blade Runner (Michael Feihstel After Work Remix)

Here is my latest Production. No matter if you know the original or not - it's worth the download. In my opinion The Love Theme From Blade Runner is one of the most incredible melodies ever.
The Title says it all...Listen to it after a hard working day ...or maybe now!?

All kinds of comments are welcome!

Yeah, This soundtrack peace is amazing,

Remix is cool, not much to comment on really, i would personally chop it right down to maybe 5 mins, a huge buildup here which kind of takes forever, especially with the bass drum and some hats playing for like 3 mins and no edits. Melody is really far back in the track, try bringing this out can barley make out the keys on my monitors.

Real nice idea, and good effort man

Peace

Wacks the original on, ahhhh this is the stuff.

OK, maybe the whole track is a little bit long but i always tend to take time for building the whole thing up...and a lot of people seem to like it when the breakdown comes SLOWLY nearer. But ok, maybe it's possible to cut the remix shorter without loosing essential parts.
However i don't agree with you about the 3 minutes without edits. It takes ca. 2 minutes to build up the beat and bass...and after 2 minutes the melody comes in. I think that's ok. But it's your opinion.
It was my intention to make the melody sounding far away...it makes the track sound deeper.
Well, thanks for your comment, mate!

It's very deep indeed. But even after a few listens I can't say I like it. I don't know, I don't like the overall sound of the track. Production wise it's good though, so it's just a matter of personal taste

hmm, i think you should look into the harmonies here.
at around 2:50 and then over again several times in the break and after, that plucky little synth you got sounds really off from the rest. i can't remember the original, but surely it's not like that. makes me cringe

about the rest, the beat is pretty cool, the overall tune sounds pretty empty.
and those bassy drums you have sound pretty messy when i turn up the volume. maybe you should eq them and rather make the bassline stand out alot more cause i can't really hear it

sorry if that sounds very negative, but imo this could turn out nice with alot more work

OK, Maybe it's just unfinished...i sometimes tend to show tracks as soon as possible...expect an updated version

But the melody in this remix was in the original like it is in this remix...I don't want to argue but i took it off the midi file and i'm really sure that it is like that.

ok, i just listened to the original, and there are no bad harmonies there. if the midi for that synth you used is correct, then you must have used a synth that's offset somehow. does it really sound harmonic to you? i'm not musically trained, but i think maybe you should read up a little bit on harmonies

Hey,
very nice feel to the song, I like the atmosphere of it. It could be used in a movie. The quality of your production is very good. I would make the intro shorter.
Keep it up!
Cheers

None of your links ever work for me, can you think of any reason why that would be?
