Ok, I'm planning on sending my GF a box of chocolates, some roses, and a card for Valentines day. Would this be a good gift for her? Is there anything else I should know? ANYTHING!? I'm nervous about making a bad desiscion here... I really need advice.

Make the card yourself. Even if you're not creatively inclined. Use lots of pretty colours and mean whatever you write on the inside. She'll love it.

^^^^^hhhmm... Know what the best thing would be? Meeting each other in real life. If you guys got so well in an on-line relationship, it would probably mean a lot to her if you two actually met. Just give her something nice done by yourself (ie, card or anything handmade if you've got skills) and I guess this is the best thing you could do for Valentine's day. It wouldn't be expensive (spend too much money and it might look scary), yet meaninful.
