what do you guys think about this mixer?? i was thinking about the pioneer djm 500 but it's a little pricey, is this a good alternative??

I've looked at the sk-2f. It's a good mixer. The Vestax 05 Pro2 will last longer and has a stronger EQ... so you might want to look into that too. The vextax 06 is also the same as the 05 except it's skinner if you want to cut a price corner.

thanks for the input...yea i'm still doing research on some mixers for the best mixer for the buck...but i'm trying to figure out if certain features are important or if i can leave some out with some mixers...like the djm-500 doesn't have headphone monitoring which i heard is quite important from my other post...so as a starting dj i'm guessing it wouldn't be good. does anyone else have any input??

Heh, that wasn't my intention. It's a good mixer. I just also think you might want to checkout the Vestax PMC 05 ProII and see if you like that any better. They are both similar mixers. See which one you like better and buy it.

do any of you own a stanton mixer or know of anyone that owes one?? I've noticed from other threads that a lot of people use vestax.

I have a Stanton ESM-11... a mixer they dont even make anymore. Things a piece of shit, but has a decent build to it and pretty good sound. My Behringer DX1000 should be here by friday.

well i guess everyone has there own opinion about products...i think i'll just save up a little longer and get a pioneer djm-600
