Scratching "Battle Weapons"

I just bought this (link) , and was wondering if it would be good for some scratching. I love trance, but I would like to learn some turntablism skills, so I figure these 10 vinyls should handle all my needs for quite a while. So did I make a good purchase ?

You got a bargain....

That box set has changed hands for £150 before...

Very very good for turntablism and scratching, but you might struggle to find much use for it in trancey stuff.....its very hip hoppy and break beaty...

Very very good though- excellent choice

There's plenty of those sets going on Ebay all the time, just do a quick search razzi.

Thanks for replying Freak, it's nice to hear I made a good purchase, especially when it's from one of the more... esteemed... members .
I know it won't work all that well in trance (hopefully a scratch or two will fit into a song or two, but I'm not going to kill my sets just to scratch), but I'm also just interested in learning to scratch. I don't have any hip hop records, but I can just put on some beats and go to town, should be fun.

Ya, I thought learning to scratch would be cool. In fact I still do. In the mean time I have discovered that the learning curve for scratching is way steeper than just mixing. At least before it sounds good. I think part of it is the fact that I know what the really good guys sound like so when I try and it sound shit in comparison I get all frustrated and just mix normally .
