Hello!

...to the beginner!
What questions, in this forum, cause not good reaction?
For example:
What such trance?
Who such Oakey?
And than eventually to open mp3 files?

Thumbs up

Don't worry, everyone's pretty cool on the board so as long as you don't abuse people, ask away.

Your English is far better than my Russian.

WOW...
I didn't understand shit of what you where trying to say at first, but I kinda get it now.

You can ask whatever you want. That's how we all learned more about our music and about eachother.

Hello! WELCOME!

There is no such thing as a bad or wrong question (though it might take a while to figure out your question ;p)... so ask away!! Most of my knowledge on TRANCE has come from this site...

Good Luck

Smoking ..umm..something go for it!

if u need to ask a question that u think would be 'stupid', sod it and ask it. if u need the answer, someone in here will give you it! we're all aight in here (i think...:P)

Trance is the music of the future...
Oakey is one of the founders/breakers of the genre...
Open MP3 files with winamp or another such program...

There u go, wasnt that hard!

Peace fellow trancEaddicts

mm...yea...I agree with what everyone said..now regarding what has been quoted

being very optimistic about Trance being the future of music...nothing wrong with that..

Oakeyz just a DJ man...only in the past 3 yrz has he been more ACTIVE in the whole music production biz (Perfecto Label)...Trance has been around waaay before that. Robert Miles had more of an impact on Trance than Oakey...since the CHEESE got recognized by the massez. Oakey did do the opening act for U2 and all..but still.. just my two centz

Hmm. I've only been involved in this forum for some months, but I've learned quite a bit about what pisses people of and what is okay in that period. First of all: Although the other replies to your post indicates everything's cool no matter what, you surely *can* ask questions or start threads that make the rest of us upset, and here is your 10-step guide to making the most enemies on this board as humanly possible:
1) Start by finding someone innocent. Then label this individual as something you wouldn't dare say to a 7-feet weight-lifter who've just been turned down by the girl next to him.
2) Follow up on this by telling him/her that she/he is a smart ass.
3) Write a post that claims everyone of us don't know shit about electronica, and that if we write to your e-mail-address
you will hack our computers.
4) Advertise your garage-sale of old 12''-vinyls on the board.
5) Insists that DJ Tiesto is no more than a fortunate guy, who've stumbled upon a bunch of records, and so far has tricked the world into believing that he's a great producer.
6) Claim that the DJ's of suck.
7) Claim that the producers of suck.
8) Post something when you're intoxicated.
9) Start a thread. Wait a week, then start one with a similar content under a different name. Greatest hits include:
- A) What's your favourite DJ(s)?
- B) What's your favourite producer(s)?
- C) Check out XXX - "Song", which just happens to currently be unobtainable through usual channels.
10) Ask how much toilet requisites of some sort we consume on a monthly basis.

...and finally posts like this one will probably not go unnoticed..

Shame / Disagreement avoid these

Things that I find annoying:

1. repeated threads (ppl ask the same things every week)
2. replies of style "YEAH!!!!!" + (10 line signature) or equivalent. That is, you have nothing to say but post anyway.
3. personal flames ("you look like an ass")
4. a dozen bullshit-replies to the same thread by the same person
5. "my opinion is the law and the rest of you don't know shit"-attitude
6. signatures which are too long or contain some 1600x1200 image
7. an excessive usage of smileface-icons
8. insisting that you are correct even when you have no clue
9. usage of your native language if it's not English

Hmmmm am I one of u peep'z enemies????

All I gotta say is I think we should basically respect eachother, not be rude and be honest, and then say what we wanna say...

errr I don't think you have to take it toooooooooo seriously...

one thing I agree the repeats are a bit annoying, like how many times had we had the best dj or song of 2000.. but there's new peeps who probably haven't seen the old ones so we gotta respect that too..

latez...
